«GRANDMOTHER'S HOLIDAY»

«GRANDMOTHER'S HOLIDAY»

From the choreographic performance "Viktor Astafyev: the Guardian of the Russian soul"

The story "Grandmother's Holiday" from the story "The Last Bow" The staff of the Ovsyan Library-Museum of V.P. Astafiev calculated: the word song in the story "The Last Bow" is mentioned 105 times, 24 songs are given with names. Viktor Petrovich, with his exceptional musicality and phenomenal memory, carried them in himself. Librarians still remember how, during a conversation about love, a writer once sang to them a local ditty - wonderful, gentle: Sweet, beautiful, an unquenchable candle! Burned – yes melted, loved – yes left. And how the melodious Astafiev family sings in the story "Grandma's holiday"! Anna Potylitsyna, the writer's beloved aunt, helped restore the tests of all the songs mentioned in the "Last Bow" for the folklore collection. The poet Alexander Romanov, shocked by the Ovsyansky "songboxes", as Astafyev called them, has lines about another aunt of the writer: And aunt Pronya will start up: She will wipe away a tear with the end of a handkerchief, drop her head in the palm of her hand, And the writer will take the song flying on the pages of his books In flight there are hundreds and hundreds of songs. Some of them are still sung by the ensemble of old-timers of Oatmeal "Yeniseyushka". And the immortal soul of the Russian people, sung by the writer, rings in them, rushing upward with such force, with such unsurpassed skill.
